In the summer of 2015 a series of collages was shown in a small gallery space in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The show took its title from one of the headlines that were used in some of the collages and which all came out of an old East German movie journal: Im Banne des Großen Motivs –  In awe of the big theme. Whereas this doesn’t resonate very strongly in English, the German phrasing is quite beautiful because it takes itself so very seriously, but also feels slightly old-fashioned.
